Welcome
There is life beyond Trauma.
HI! We are Beth Morgan, LPC (she/her) & Heather Sudduth, LPC (she/her)
We are most passionate about working with those that still suffer from past traumas. We see trauma as any experience that still affects you.
We want you to experience who you truly are free from trauma. This takes time, work, and self-compassion, but it is possible.
There is hope.
There is a life beyond the effects of trauma.
We want to help make those harmful experiences be part of your story and no longer affect you.

Beth’s approach
I come from a trauma model perspective, meaning I see my clients as having understandable reactions to traumatic events (in childhood or adulthood) rather than suffering from mental illness. I see most mental health issues as symptoms of unresolved events in our lives.
Ultimately, I use an integrative approach in therapy. This involves selecting the techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited to a client’s particular problem. By tailoring the therapy to the individual, integrative therapists hope to produce the most significant effects. The goal of this is to improve the efficacy and efficiency of treatment and adapt it to the specific needs of the individual. My favorite modality to work with is EMDR.
Heather’s Approach
The focus of my work so far has been helping children, teens, and adults heal from the devastating impacts of trauma on the individual and familial levels. Like Beth, I see the ways that folks have learned to cope - whether by instinct or instruction - as understandable. Even when coping mechanisms cause harm, they usually make a lot of sense, and the more negative processes can often be redirected toward more helpful, healing strategies.
In order to find the most meaningful healing strategies for each client, I utilize assessments to collaborate with each client on a treatment plan that will meet their needs. Typically, this means that we start with one treatment modality, such as EMDR, and proceed until either our treatment goals are met or a change in modality is indicated. I take openness and communication very seriously, and I will always explain my reasoning for each choice I would like to consider in your treatment.
